Not framed or stretched | Acrylic on primed linen

Betty Morton was born in MacDonald Downs Station in 1957 and grew up in Irrultja. Her paintings represent bush medicine in her country. This story has been passed down to her from her father. Betty currently lives in Ampilatwatja with her sons, daughters, and grandchildren.

Betty's daughter is Joycie Morton and her granddaughter is Nikita Inkamala. They are both great artists and share the same story of 'Bush Medicine'.

In 2021, Betty won The Inaugural Annual National Capital Art Prize (First Nations Category) and her popularity and success has continued to grow.
